Delaware

From left to right:

Liston Rear Range, near Port Penn, 3 miles inland from DE River. Built in 1877 - Liston Front Range, near Port Penn on DE River. Built about 1906 - Marcus Hook Rear Range, on west bank of DE River near Claymont. Built in 1920 - Fourteen Foot Bank, in DE Bay off Bowers Beach. Built 1776 and 1888 - Reedy Is. Rear Range, at the mouth of DE River near Odessa. Built 1910 - DE Breakwater East, E end of inner breakwater at Lewes harbor. Built 1885 and 1926 - Mispillion River, near Slaughter Beach, built in 1873, destroyed lighting/fire in 2002 - Cape Henlopen, built south of Lewes in 1769. Destroyed by erosion in 1926 - Harbor of Refuge (South) Breakwater, E end of outer breakwater at Lewes harbor. Built 1896 and 1926 - Fenwick Island, at Mason Dixon line, Ocean City. Built 1859 - Bellevue Rear Range, north side Christiana River, Edgemoor, 1909.


Hudson River

From left to right:

Hudson City Light, ( Hudson-Athens ) first lit 1874, northern most light on river. Warns Middle Ground Flats. Automated 1949. - Tarry Town Light, est. 1883, on E shore in Kingsland Pt. Park. Just N of Tappan Zee Bridge. Deactivated 1961. - Edopus Meadows, Maid of the Meadows, 1839 - first tower. Current built 1871 W side of river. Warns of Esopus Meadows mudflats. Last wood frame light on river. - Stony Point, built 1826, first government light on river. Entrance to Husdon Highlands. Decommissioned 1925, reactivated 1995. In Historic Stony Point Battlefield Site. - Saugerties Light, built 1836, current 1869. Automated 1954. Relit 1990 after restoration. Mouth of Esopus Creek. - Jeffrey's Hook, Little Red Lighthouse from 1880-1917 tower was North Hook, off Sandy Hook, NJ. Moved 1921 to Manhattan side of river under George Washington Bridge in Fort Washington Park. Deactivated in 1947. - Roundout Light, ( Kingston ) built 1837, 1867 and 1915 at mouth of Roundout Creek. Automated 1954. Caretakers: the Hudson River Maritime Museum.

Moses State Park near Saltaire - Plum Island ( Plum Gut ) ­ Oyster Pond Reef, near Orient Point - Orient Point ( Coffee Pot ), in Plum Gut near Orient Point - Race Rock, W end of Fishers Is. - Little Gull Island, eastern end of Long Is. Sound - Cedar Island, in Gardiners Bay - Montauk Point, eastern tip of Long Is. on Turtle Hill - Eaton's Neck, E side of Huntington Bay - Old Field Point,  N shore of Long Is. in Old Field - Long Beach Bar ( Bug Light ), entrance to Orient Harbor.


New Jersey I

Sea Girt, at beach in Sea Girt - Romer Shoal, near northern tip of Sandy Hook - Cape May, entrance to Delaware Bay in Cape May State Park - Maih Maull Shoal, on north end of shoal in Delaware Bay - Finns Point Rear Range, in Supawna Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Pennsville - Navesink Twin Lights, atop Navesink Highlands, S of Sandy Hook, at W entrance to NY Bay - Elbow of Cross Ledge, in the Delaware Bay - Absecon, in Atlantic City - Ship John Shoal, on shoal off mouth of Cohansey River - East Point ( Maurice River ), on shore of Delaware Bay near Maurice River and Heislerville.


New Jersey II

From left to right:

Hereford Inlet, north Wildwood, near Inlet entrance - Barnegat, in Barnegat Lighthouse State Park on Long Beach Island - Brandywine Shoal, near Lewes in the Delaware Bay - Conover Beacon, this front range light marks the Chapel Hill Channel - Great Beds, center of Raritan Bay - Tucker Beach, replica at Tuckerton Seaport in Tuckerton - Sandy Hook, oldest standing and operating tower in USA. In Fort Hancock/Gateway National Recreation Area - Old Orchard Shoal, on shoal's edge, SE of Staten Island - Tinicum Is. Rear Range, for Delaware River in Billingsport Recreational Area, near Paulsboro - Robbin's Reef, just off Bayonne, about 2 miles SW of the Statue of Liberty - Chapel Hill Rear Range, just south of Leonardo, decommissioned.
