Pictured on this new print, are all 16 lights guiding mariners on Lake Erie, into Ohio's many ports and harbors. The Vermilion replica sits on the grounds of the great Inland Seas Maritime Museum in Vermilion. The Old Fairport Harbor light is the site of a wonderful museum filled with a wide variety of marine artifacts, including a Fresnel lens. The Marblehead lighthouse sits at the end of the road at the end of a spit of land. The setting invites visitors to linger at the picnic tables and watch boats, ferries and seagulls going by. Many of the lights in the water can be easily seen from shore. Well worth a weekend trip along the coast to view these historic lights.
